The HSBC Sevens Village officially opened its gates today, providing rugby fans and families with the opportunity to indulge in all the fun of the tournament, just across the road from the stadium where the action of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2019 is happening.

From 5 to 7 April, the HSBC Sevens Village, with a brand-new look and feel, will offer a fantastic array of entertainment, family activities and food & beverages. There will be live screenings of the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, the very popular face painting and an all new colouring wall. A variety of rugby challenges will be on offer in the HSBC Try Rugby Zone, as well as HSBC Try Rugby coaching clinics, allowing children to test their strength and accuracy and win some fantastic prizes.

It is with great pride that the bank has announced the HSBC Women’s Series will be growing to eight tournaments for the next four-year cycle, with six legs becoming paired tournaments with the men’s, one of which will be held in Hong Kong. Therefore, to celebrate the women’s game and give it a platform closer to that of the men’s series, all-girls sessions have been introduced into this year’s coaching clinics. Hong Kong celebrity Louisa Mak, as the Local Ambassador of the HSBC Sevens Village will be celebrating the spirit of the sport with the community.

In order to keep fueling your energy and excitement throughout the weekend, a new range of Hong Kong’s best-known food vendors will be in the Village this year to keep your hunger at bay, from Pizza Express to XTC Gelato.There will also be appearances from all-time rugby legends and HSBC Ambassadors Brian O’Driscoll, Bryan Habana and George Gregan, who will be spending time in the HSBC Sevens Village over the weekend giving fans the opportunity to catch a glimpse and even meet their idols.
