HSMAI Announces Promotions and New Staff Joining Team

The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) announces promotions and new staff joining the headquarters team. staffing changes will allow HSMAI to grow membership and programs to continue to deliver quality initiatives to hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue optimization professionals.

“The demanding times and industry pressures require us to offer more value for our members and more resources for our chapters, which this team is positioned to deliver with their passion for excellence and their experience in hospitality,” said Fran Brasseux, executive vice president of HSMAI.

Jenny Heger, Director of Chapter Management and Volunteer Experience
Jenny Heger joins the HSMAI staff from the Minneapolis Northwest CVB where she was the Business Development Manager. Before that she was in hotel sales at The Saint Paul Hotel and the corporate office of Northcott Hospitality (AmericInn Hotels). While at the CVB Heger also served as the Managing Director of the Minnesota Chapter of HSMAI, and also served as the Chapter President in 2013 and 2014. HSMAI Minnesota was HSMAI’s Chapter of the Year in 2013. In addition, Heger served on the HSMAI Sales Advisory Board and has served in leadership positions for local chapters of GBTA and MPI.

Mandie Jorgensen, Director of Operations
Now with HSMAI for 15 years, Mandie Jorgensen has been promoted to Director of Operations from her former position as Associate Director of Membership Services. In this new position, Jorgensen will work closely with the HSMAI team and boards to implement new support and services to make conference & event registration and management “state of the industry” and to ensure leading membership technology.

Stacy Gleason, Associate Director of Membership
Stacy Gleason, formerly focusing on corporate membership, will expand her role to hold responsibility for all membership growth and retention and also work closely with the HSMAI staff and HSMAI chapters to help with their membership needs.

Ellen Wilson, Membership Concierge
Ellen Wilson will serve in the newly-created position as HSMAI Membership Concierge. She will focus on onboarding new members and retaining current ones. Wilson also concurrently holds the role of HSMAI Adrian Awards Competition Director, and is Managing Director of HSMAI’s Washington DC Chapter.
