Enjoy a truly unique adventure with Hurtigruten this winter and not only will they buy you wine with dinner, they are so confident they offer the best way to experience the Aurora Borealis, that they are offering an EXCLUSIVE Northern Lights promise.

The offer is open to passengers booking a 12 day Classic Round Voyage for departure between October 2015 and February 2016 inclusive. Staff on-board Hurtigruten’s 11 coastal ships will be scouring the night skies and will announce any sightings of the lights. However, if they don’t appear during the voyage, Hurtigruten will offer guests the choice of a free 7 day Classic Voyage North, or 6 day Classic Voyage South in an inside twin cabin (voyage-only, B&B basis), departing between October 2016 and March 2017.

Cyril Bricaud, Hurtigruten commented “Seeing the Northern Lights remains one of life’s truly incredible experiences and we are so convinced that a voyage with us is one of the best ways to see them that we have put our money where our mouth is”

Prices for an inside cabin on full board basis (based on two sharing) start from $2,490 AUD, on a choice of dates (including 30 October 2015).

Alternatively guests travelling in early 2016 can book an inside cabin on full board basis (based on two sharing), on a choice of dates in January 2016 (including 22 January) for just $ 2,070 AUD per person.

The Classic Round Voyage hugs the Norwegian coastline from Bergen up to Kirkenes, where it turns around and starts its journey south back to Bergen. Travelling on a Hurtigruten voyage allows you to explore one of the most picturesque coastlines in the world and enjoy an authentic Norwegian adventure. Weaving through narrow waterways and fjords on small yet comfortable working ships, you will visit off the beaten track towns and villages and try activities that most tourists to Norway never have a chance to experience. Be pulled along the frozen Arctic on a husky sledge, or enjoy a thrilling rib boat ride through the world’s fastest tidal current – there are more than 50 incredible experiences on offer along the way.

Back on-board, you will also enjoy a culinary journey along the coast, with menus not only reflecting the seasons, but the local specialities of the places you are sailing past. Delicacies are sourced from local small-scale producers and suppliers, and seasonal foods are brought fresh onto the ship each day.
