unnamed (32)According to historical data your New Year resolution is most likely to be ‘get into shape’ – and most people will say the same thing next year too, blaming holiday over-indulgence and a hectic lifestyle for getting off track.

But there is hope, with Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay curating a comprehensive program of international health and fitness experts to help you stay on track for your ‘New Year, New You’ goal even while on holiday. The 2016 Visiting Practitioners program features some of Asia’s most inspiring personal trainers and international massage therapists to the stars, who will be in-residence at various intervals throughout the year to expand upon the regular daily activities available to guests at the world-class beach resort.

“The 2016 Visiting Practitioners program will be our biggest yet,” said Uday Rao, General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Bali. “From beach bootcamps and high-intensity cardio classes to a Balinese healer and Tibetan singing bowl massage, guests will be able to maintain and even improve their health, while enjoying plenty of downtime, bonding with their partner or family, and well-earned pampering. Add this to our new Jim Courier Tennis and TropicSurf programs, and that New Year resolution doesn’t have to sound like a broken record!”

In 2015, ‘staying fit and healthy’ was the top New Year resolution, coming in at 37%, followed closely by ‘lose weight’ (32%) and ‘live life to the fullest’ (28%), according to data from a Nielsen survey. The annual Visiting Practitioners program at Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay starts in January and features a different health or fitness expert each month. Highlights include:

The Visiting Practitioners program continues the evolution of Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay as a luxury beach resort that embraces an active lifestyle, taking advantage of its stunning location and natural environment. With convenient boat access to Bali’s famous surf breaks and positioned directly over a beginner’s wave, the resort also recently launched its TropicSurf program. Back on land, guests can book a private lesson with the resident Jim Courier Tennis certified coach, Ling Chan. The resort is also preparing for the imminent launch of a new ocean-front yoga venue where guests can join a fun class of AntiGravity® ‘flying’ yoga in a traditional bale perched on the edge of the sparkling Indian Ocean.

“The resort’s location on Jimbaran’s golden shores is perfect for guests seeking a therapeutic beach holiday, whether they want to get active with our fitness classes, or prefer a more spiritual and nurturing approach from the international masseuses, local healers and wellness consultants,” said Uday Rao. “Whatever a guest chooses, we just want them to leave here feeling better than when they arrived. That is our goal – our New Year resolution.”
