IGNIV by Andreas Caminada @ Badrutt’s Palace opens its doors on December 21, 2016

london_hilton_on_park_lane_fpOn December 21, 2016, guests can enjoy IGNIV’s Fine-Dining-Sharing-Experience at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz. Preparations are in full swing in the former Le Relais restaurant and the crew has been selected!

Andreas Caminada‘s signature will be just as recognizable in the second “IGNIV” at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel as it is at Schauenstein Schloss Restaurant Hotel, even though he will remain working full time at the castle. The focus at the IGNIV will once again be on the exquisite taste of fine dining, based on a fine dining sharing concept, and on spending time together in a relaxed, laid back atmosphere.

“There will be the so-called ‘IGNIV Signature Dishes’ which will be served to guests in both IGNIVs – at Bad Ragaz and St. Moritz. In addition there will be some new Sharing Dishes, created especially for St. Moritz”, explains Andreas Caminada.

The Spanish architect and interior designer Patricia Urquiola is once again responsible to create in the restaurant the unique cosy nest atmosphere. With her unique sense of space and textiles she has worked out a feeling of security, which reflects nicely the attributes describing a nest character. Despite the soft renovation of the restaurant, Patricia’s style will be instantly recognisable. The dining room will be flanked by two lounges for the guests to relax and enjoy the atmosphere before and after dinner. The existing bar will be turned into a kitchen so that guests can watch the chefs prepare the dishes. The colour palette has also changed; both the logo and the interior have taken on new fitting hues.

Each of the 18 crew members was carefully selected and trained. The restaurant, which will offer double-seating each night, will be led by talented head chef Marcel Skibba. He currently holds the position of the sous chef at Schauenstein Schloss Restaurant Hotel and will relocate during the winter months to the “IGNIV” in Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, along with restaurant manager Sylvie Kämpf.
