The ‘Eat, Play, Renew’ programme features unique traditions and cultures of the beautiful island of Bali that will put families at ease and at peace through Club Med’s specially curated activities.

“Club Med Bali is the perfect location for guests to find their ultimate reprieve. Not only will guests enjoy the beauty and rich heritage that Bali has to offer, they will also get in tune with their bodies and recharge with Club Med’s latest Eat, Play, Renew programme.” commented Xavier Desaulles, CEO of Club Med – East and South Asia and Pacific.

Eat – Feast on Balinese and international delights

Begin your holistic journey by learning the traditional Balinese art of fruit carving with the Mertarauh Bali team. The art of fruit carving is described as an ancient art in Bali and is still practiced today for major events in Asia. Participants can pick from a variety of fruits and express their creativity. For those looking to improve their relationship with food, nutrition workshops helmed by certified mind-body practitioner and yoga therapist, Joannie Lemay from In Bloom Project offer an insightful starting point. The workshops have the participants focus on nutritional habits and easy-to-follow strategies to help them reach their optimal health. Guests will also be spoilt for choice with artisanal recipes prepared specially for them at the Balinese Cooking Show. Available all-year long, guests can feast on a wide selection of sumptuous dishes from the Balinese culinary scene, as well as partake in an international array of dishes to fulfil their culinary desires. The Bali Spices Discovery allows guests to discover their love for spices and ingredients that are significant in Balinese cooking.

Play – Play to your heart’s content in sunny Bali

Four culturally-rich and fun activities are also created especially for Club Med’s Eat, Play, Renew programme. Presented by Kita Art Community, guests can get into the swing of things with Balinese Koreo Dance classes and immerse themselves in this ancient dance tradition that is part of the religious and artistic expression among the Balinese people. The dancers apply special techniques in the dance through bodily poses, eyes and hand gestures. Guests can also learn about the traditional instruments during Balinese Gamelan Music classes. The instruments are said to be an integral part of art performances in Bali and guests will be taught the different techniques of blending Gamelan instruments to create a beautiful rhythm. A trip to Bali is not complete without witnessing the spectacular fire dance also known as the Tari Kecak. The enchanting traditional Balinese performance narrates the story of prince Rama on a journey to rescue his wife, Sita from king Ravana. Tari Kecak is also unique as no musical instruments are used other than the acapella from dozens of dancers chanting ‘Ke-Chak’ rhythmically.

Selfie lovers can rejoice with Djunaidi Kenyut of Cata Odata’s ‘I Love Me Selfie Project’ available at Club Med Bali.
