White reported 25-30cm of quality dry powder at the resort and he’d expect the upper mountain accumulations would be between 30-40 cms of fresh snow.
Current ambient temperatures at Niseko are sitting on minus 5C at village level and around 10-12C below zero at mid to upper mountain altitude.
The important snow base pack is building quickly now and with further periods of snow forecast for today and tonight, the likelihood for first MtYoteilifts tomorrow morning are now looking very promising.
The further outlook at this stage is still showing scattered snowfall over the weekend and a then further healthy snowfalls for the Monday to Thursday program.

With almost 6 months of lift operations coming up and moving lifts and turns being just around the corner, the village atmosphere is buzzing and there’s a long winter ahead.
