Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, reveals that the Lunar New Year holiday has prompted more people to travel in 2019, than in previous years.
With close to 1 million people travelling outside of the country between 2ndand 10th of February, Sabre data demonstrates that the number of airplane seats from Singapore over this festive period have increased by more than 5 percent, in comparison to last year.
With so many destinations to choose from in Asia Pacific for a long week-end, or quick getaway, the top 3 destinations over the holiday are Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Hong Kong.

While the travel industry continues to grow, external factors, such as timing, may have contributed to the increase in outbound travel from Singapore.
