Inaugural Taste of Hong Kong is Now Open

unnamed (4)Hong Kong was introduced to its first restaurant led festival of international standards today with the launch of Taste of Hong Kong presented by Standard Chartered.

Simon Wilson, Event Director, IMG Culinary Asia, said, “We are delighted to celebrate the official launch of Taste of Hong Kong, IMG’s first Taste Festival in Asia. We are looking forward to hosting Hong Kong gourmands on the Central Harbourfront site from today through Sunday so Hong Kongers in the mood to celebrate the city’s finest dining establishments should come on down and join us for an indulgent and unique food experience at Taste of Hong Kong”.

Hosted on the Central Harbourfront until 13 March, Taste of Hong Kong offers foodie fanatics the opportunity to create their ultimate dining experience sampling signature, icon and unique to festival tasting plates from the world class chefs behind Aberdeen Street Social, Amber, Arcane, Bibo, Café Gray Deluxe, CHINO, Duddell’s, Serge et Le Phoque, The Ocean, Tin Lung Heen, Tosca, Yardbird and RŌNIN, and visiting UK restaurant Duck & Waffle.

Watch top chefs create mouth-watering dishes in live demonstrations at the Bosch Taste Theatre and Marriott Kitchen, get hands on with interactive masterclasses at Sunday’s Grocery ‘Sake Bar’, Duddell’s Salon, Laurent Perrier Champagne Bar and Wynns Coonawarra Estate “Make Your Own Blend” wine experience, and sample exceptional ingredients from over 50 boutique producers.

There are 6 sessions in the next four days, Thursday evening, Friday afternoon, evening, Saturday afternoon, evening and Sunday afternoon. Tickets are available both on the door and from Ticketflap, with tickets purchased via  starting at HK$138 for weekdays and HK$168 for weekend. Tickets at the box office range from $168 for weekday to $198 for weekend- subject to capacity.
