INCON, the dynamic partnership of the world’s leading conference, association and event management has published it’s latest Expert Guide on the Recommended Process for selecting a PCO or Event Manager.
Recognising the need for efficient RFP processes for both submitters and recipients, INCON has identified the top seven steps to implementing an effective RFP process. Currently, for those submitting RFPs, the process for appointing a new service provider can be time consuming, costly and divert staff and volunteer resources. What is a challenge for those receiving these generic RFPs is the time it takes to provide quality feedback and give the organization what it really needs to make a productive decision.
Inge Hanser, INCON Co Chair and Managing Director of CPO Hanser Serviceremarked: “In recent times there has been an epidemic of scattergun RfP distributions generated by Software companies who have taken technology to an extreme. Whilst selling their technology to buyers who believe this new solution will help them, there has been a failure to explain the downside to all parties in this type of concept. INCON Partners have been keen to help clients undertake fully beneficial processes and hence avoid wasting their valuable time which is the intent of this release. The process of RfP is critical to success and requires careful management.”
An industry standard RFP document has been created which we encourage all clients to use. This RFP is available in 14 languages and can be adapted to suit the needs of each individual client. The guide is available for download from the INCON Expert Guide section.
