According to Excite Holidays, an increasing number of travellers are choosing apartments over traditional hotels, in particular the USA, Europe and Australia.

In the last three months, Excite Holidays has seen a 32% growth in apartment bookings within Australia, compared to the same period last year. Bookings for serviced apartments to the USA increased by 34%, while the United Kingdom saw an increase of approximately 29%.

George Papaioannou, CEO of Excite Holidays said: “Leisure and business travellers know the true value of the comfort and space apartments provide, resulting in a demand for serviced apartments. Competitive pricing, high quality amenities, convenience and location are all driving forces.”

In addition, the company has seen continuous growth in apartment bookings each month, since the implementation of its apartment search feature. The enhanced accommodation feature, which was launched in April 2013, has made it easier for agents to search and book apartments or hotels.

Some of the popular cities booked through Excite Holidays for apartments include London, New York, Paris, Hawaii (Oahu and Maui), Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Singapore, Dubai and Orlando.
