Seychelles-TravelAs newspapers from around the world continue to bring out articles with glowing reports on the 2014 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria, that was this year co-hosted by Seychelles, La Reunion, Madagascar, Mayotte and South Africa KwaZulu Natal, the press from the Indian Ocean are also continuing to eel the islanders from the group of the Vanilla Islands well informed.

L’Express Mauritius and the Madagascar Tribune have now both come out with more of the carnival related articles. The Madagascar Newspaper cites the event falling in the list of the official events of the Vanilla Islands which is why Madagascar participated by having Eric Koller, the President of the Madagascar Tourism present in Seychelles.

L’Express of Mauritius gave on its part a rundown on the prizes for the delegations in the Carnaval Parade itself which was this year won by China.

Last year Mauritius won second prize in the International delegations which was the first time an indian ocean island had come out among the top three delegations in the carnival parade. This Mauritian delegation at the 2013 carnival was being led by Shenaz Omarjee of the MTPA (Mauritius Tourism Promotional Authority).
