Indigo White Launches Tailor Made, Experiential Adventure Tours in Asia

The competition for Asian Adventure Tour Operators is set to heat up again with the launch of Indigo White, a new start-up offering tailor made, experiential adventure travel across Southeast Asia.

The company has been founded by Holly Richter, formerly of Backroads, EXO Travel and Rove and is catering to travel agents and independent travel specialists around the world.

“With 14 years of experience guiding and designing for Backroads, a luxury cycling, trekking and kayaking company – combined with 10 years living and working in Asia as both a Product Manager and Director of Adventure at EXO Travel – creating a tailor made, experiential adventure travel company simply made sense.

You see many companies focused on one aspect of travel – cycling, trekking, cultural, luxury, culinary; but rarely do they look at travel holistically. The perfect trip for each guest we host is its own unique blend of these aspects.

Each traveller wants something uniquely designed to fit who they are and what they want to gain from their holiday. The perfect trip will be a completely different design based on the traveller’s expectations – a mix of experiences using the best means of transport whether that be by foot, bike, or by boat.

What makes us different? – we simply take the time to listen. We listen to our guests to find out if they are looking for a really physically challenging adventure or if they are coming to simply explore.

We listen to our colleagues and friends here to find out what is the trendy new art gallery, coffee shop, place to watch sunset with a cocktail. There are communities here that are opening their doors to limited numbers of guests, in the hopes of sharing their unique customs and culture and to encourage a form of livelihood for their community. Human-powered travel creates a more independent space for you to exchange some words as you pedal past villages – allowing for accidental, natural interactions.

We work with our friends in these communities throughout Southeast Asia to put together adventures, whether they are rafting through virgin rainforest of Northern Thailand, peddling on secluded paths through the otherwise crowded Angkor complex, or spending time with gracious Karen hosts that are attempting to reintroduce domesticated elephants into the wild. We offer travellers the flexibility and freedom to explore on their own, mixed with the right balance of having a guide to explain the mysteries of their discovery.”

Indigo White are already working closely with a number of partners around the world and crafting exclusive experiences for their clients.

Currently, the Indigo White team may be contacted via while the website is set to launch at before the end of the year.
