Australian taxi app and mobile payment provider, ingogo™, today announced a new partnership with Concur, the leading provider of spend management solutions and services. The collaboration includes the launch of a new corporate feature, which will let businesses manage and process their employees’ taxi service receipts, with the ingogo enhancement available now for Australian businesses in the Apple Store, Google Play Store and Concur® App Center.
Through the partnership, ingogo’s payment system allows receipts from taxis booked through ingogo to flow directly into the Concur expense management system, simplifying the expense process for companies and making it easier for their employees to book and pay for work-related travel.
Hamish Petrie, founder of ingogo, said: “The new alliance enables a cost-effective solution against other taxi networks, helping both employers and their employees. The ingogo-Concur solution provides something a lot more efficient than what is in market right now.”
Travel expense is a major issue for Australian businesses, with taxi travel being the third highest cost expense, accounting for 45% of all expense line items submitted. Businesses travellers on Concur process an average of three taxi receipts for each airline itinerary, and 25 taxi receipts for each one car rental expense, which will be greatly reduced with ingogo’s e-receipt system and corporate feature.
Mr Petrie added: “There’s a huge amount of productive time lost in processing taxi receipts. ingogo overcomes these issues with their in app payment and e-receipt solution providing cost-savings to businesses.
“For too long, businesses have had limited options, because of a taxi monopoly. We’re bringing a better option to the table through our partnership with Concur. It’s a typical story of an innovative company re-writing the rules of the game and making things more efficient and better for the end-user.
“Breaking the monopoly on Australia’s taxi industry and a fair go for all is core to what ingogo stands for and launching a new way of helping customers with corporate expense management is a great way to provide companies with more – and better – options. Like Concur, ingogo is all about what’s best for the business traveller, and we are confident that Australian companies, and the taxi driver, will reap the benefits of our integration,” said Mr Petrie.
Jessica Pankov, Senior Director, App Center Marketing and Alliances for Concur, said: “Integrating the ingogo app into the Concur system will make booking and paying for taxis a seamless experience. Concur is focused on creating an ecosystem of partners with innovative new products and services for customers and their employees. The Concur App Center delivers seamless integration via Concur’s open platform. It’s great to welcome ingogo to the Concur T&E Cloud ecosystem.”
