Innovative Thinking Brings New Business for Personal Travel Manager

TravelManagers’ personal travel managers are well known for their innovative and creative business approach, with Perth based personal travel manager Hiten Shah, representative for Tapping no exception.

Hiten-Shah-Indian-Community-Expo-16MAR14Shah is an active member of the Perth Indian community. It was his desire to promote awareness that he is now a personal travel manager that inspired him to participate in the Indian Festival held in Joondalup for members and friends of the Indian community.

“I saw this as an opportunity to raise awareness and to explain the benefits and expertise I can provide clients as a personal travel manager. It also provided an occasion to reconnect with the Indian community and also to meet members of the wider public in the northern suburbs of Perth,” he says.

Shah received support on the day from fellow personal travel manager Erryn Morris, representative for Gooseberry Hill and his state based business partnership manager Alison Banks.

“The visitor numbers through the expo were high and it was fortunate that Hiten had arranged for his colleague Erryn and myself to assist him. There was a queue of people wanting to talk travel for most of the day. It was definitely a great business opportunity for Hiten,” says Banks.

Shah views his presence at the Indian Festival as a valuable experience in marketing.

“I have added a good number of new subscribers to my eNewsletter and obtained over 35 new business contacts. I have already received enquiries for travel to Bali, Kenya, India, Singapore, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Dubai and for within Australia. Many people were also interested to learn more about cruising as a holiday.  All of this from my first expo attendance, I couldn’t be happier,” he says.

TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager Michael Gazal congratulates Shah’s ability to find a way to connect with people at a grass roots level.

“We applaud Hiten thinking outside the square and taking the opportunity to immerse himself within his local community. It’s this level of innovation and forward thinking that makes TravelManagers’ personal travel managers stand out from the rest and the results speak for themselves.”

With Shah’s first expo experience being such a resounding success, it will come as no surprise he has already signed up to participate next year.

“It was such a great day, meeting new and old friends.  The fact they are now my clients definitely is the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to attend the festival again next year,” he says with a smile.
