Insight Vacations (, the leader in premium escorted journeys, is launching its Europe 2017 programme, with three exciting new itineraries and a fantastic ‘Fly Free’ offer.

The new-look brochure has been designed to reflect the quality, meticulous attention to detail and the style and flair with which guests can expect to travel on an Insight Vacations trip, mirroring its strapline of “The Art of Touring in Style”. In a magazine-style format, the brochure hones in on the “magic” of an Insight holiday, highlighting each carefully planned component from the Signature Hotels and Experiences, fine dining, comfort of travel, expertise of the Tour Director and the five different travelling styles available to suit each individual guest.

There are three exciting new itineraries for 2017, designed to bring guests closer to the showstoppers and less discovered corners of Europe:

  • The 12-day Country Roads of Southern Scandinavia (from $4225 pp twin-share), starting in Oslo and finishing in Copenhagen, is an off-the-beaten track discovery of Scandinavia’s southern mountains, fjords, rivers and vibrant cities.
  • The 29-day Scandinavian Heritage (from $6750 pp twin-share) links the new Country Roads of Southern Scandinavia itinerary with the existing Grand Tour of Scandinavia trip to form an epic adventure through Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Guests will visit the house in Odense where Hans Christian Andersen was born, see a working husky farm in action in Alta and enjoy champagne and caviar at the Northern Cape, the northernmost point in Europe.
  • Warsaw and the Baltic States (from $2195 pp twin-share) takes in Poland and the fairytale Baltic capitals of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia over eight days.  Insight’s top achieving Australian agents recently returned from discovering this little known corner of Europe.

To celebrate the release of the new programme, Insight Vacations is offering free flights to Europe on a wide selection of tours 16 days and over. For itineraries of 11-15 days, guests can fly from $699 and for itineraries under 11 days from $999. Partner airlines are Cathay Pacific, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways.*

Alex O’Connor commented: “We are excited to offer our agent partners the chance to book our 2017 premium itineraries at better value than ever thanks to lower prices and the launch of our free airfares. Our launch events booked up in record time, with large waiting lists, and that tells me that the demand for Europe is there when the value is right. In particular, we’re expecting strong demand for our British itineraries, which have dropped significantly in price due to the favorable exchange rate.”

Insight Vacations has also added two of its premium journeys – Scenic France and Northern Spain and Elegance of Great Britain – to its Insight Inclusive collection, a touring style that includes all breakfasts, dinners and sightseeing. With no additional optional excursions sold on the trip, guests can be sure of a clear, upfront price and agents benefit from the added commission that an Insight Inclusive holiday brings. With free time built in and guests lunching at leisure, the Insight Inclusive itineraries offer plenty of flexibility, with guests even being offered an evening of Freestyle Dining, where they are given a budget to dine in a restaurant of their choice.

Insight’s new Europe programme also features a unique collection of authentic Signature Experiences, a series of carefully selected and engaging encounters with artisans, chefs, storytellers and other local experts, hearing their stories and learning about their lives and the customs of the destination. In 2017, for the first time, guests on a number of Italian itineraries will enjoy a private after-hours dinner inside the Vatican Ethnological Museum, joined by the museum’s curator. Other Signature Experiences include a new VIP visit to the Guinness factory in Dublin before the doors open to the public; a cruise with the captain on a traditional sailing barge, before lunch at an old olive mill in the Alentejo and hearing from one of the survivors of the Siege of Sarajevo in the War Tunnel Museum.
