With Thailand’s traditional Vegetarian Festival suddenly upon us, once again offering a welcome change from the usual, the accomplished international chefs at three remarkable restaurants at the top end of Sathorn are concentrating their collective creative talents on everything non-carnivorous.

Meat is in retreat for over a week at smooth, sophisticated BLD Bistro, Rice & Chilli, a bastion of creative Thai cuisine, and The Sathorn international buffet dining, from Friday, October 4 to Saturday, October 12, 2013, inclusive.

At BLD Bistro and Rice & Chilli, enjoy an exquisite Vegetarian Set Menu priced at only THB 390++. That’s five dishes of pure vegetarian heaven, so delicious diners will forget how good they are for their bodies too. Start with Poh Pia Thod, Deep-fried spring roll wrapped with vegetable served with sweet plum sauce, and proceed with Tom Yam Had, Spicy erring mushroom soup with, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, Phad Med Koa-Lud, Stir-fried tofu with dried chili capsicum and roasted chestnut, and Phad Phak Num Mun Hoi, Wok-fried vegetables with premium oyster sauce. Conclude with a sweet treat of Sala Loy Kaew  and Chilled fruit in syrup.

Not to be outdone, over at The Sathorn, Executive Chef Christophe will personally create Signature Vegetarian Dish for everyday lifestyle lunch buffet during the festival as Mongolian Vegetarian noodle menu price per person at only THB 690++ (Lunch Buffet Price).

The Mongolian selection offers the pick of the in-season vegetable crop, including cherry tomato, hot basil leaves, cauliflower, broccoli, green asparagus, baby corn, bean sprout, snow pea, pumpkin, enoki mushroom and salad leaves accompanied by tofu, yakisoba and rice noodles. Lashings of Mongolian, soy, yakisoba and spicy lime sauces and so on join customers’ preferred combinations in the piping hot wok for frying until ideally al dente.

Being housed in Mode Sathorn Hotel by Siam@Siam Hotel, all three restaurants are central to the river-end of Sathorn Road and very accessible via Surasak BTS skytrain station which is just steps away.
