Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort And Spa Welcomes Kamal Haer

The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kamal Haer as the new Area Director of Marketing and Sales.

Kamal joins following an extensive search across Bangkok, Singapore and Sydney. She will be responsible for a number of the resorts strategic objectives including maximising the benefits of hosting the inaugural Fiji PGA Golf Event in 2014, repositioning the resorts Club InterContinental and establishing a permanent sales and marketing presence in the western seaboard of the United States to drive incentive business. Kamal will also be responsible for the marketing and sales of Holiday Inn Suva and Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu.

Kamal has lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji and holds a Master of Business in Marketing from RMIT University in Melbourne. Kamal  joins from ANZ Bank where she held the position of as Head of Marketing, Retail Sales and Distribution, Fiji and Pacific. She also has airline, telecommunications, and financial services industry experience.

Her expertise and skills will maximise our position in the market and her exceptional leadership attributes will lead our skilled and engaged teams in Fiji and beyond. We are also very proud to have a Fijian resident take over this position as supporting the employment of local Fijians is of great importance to the resort.”
