InterContinentalFiji Golf Resort & Spa hosted the inaugural Hotelier’s Fun Day with Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Fiji Marriot Resort Momi Bay on Friday 14th September 2018.The Fun Day was an initiative from the Human Resources Department in light of the fact that the once annual Bilibili Race had been taken off the sporting and social calendar as a result of the low water levels at the Sigatoka river.

Hoteliers gathered along the Tuva river banks, located adjacent to the Natadola Beach, to compete throughout the afternoon in kayak races,waiter/waitress relays, Tug-O-War battles, coconut tunnel, egg toss and mixed volleyball. The event was enjoyed by all and saw participating hoteliers have an enjoyable afternoon filled with smiles, laughter and much merry making.

“This event develops team building, it builds confidence and individual skills in a team environment and champions an ongoing professional network relationship between the resorts and hoteliers.” says Andrew Davidson, Area General Manager South Pacific at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa. “We hope to turn this happy fun day into an annual sporting event to be enjoyed by employees of hotels and resorts”.
