InterContinental Sydney and smoothfm Partner Once Again for a Sweet Experience at the smooth Festival of Chocolate
Longstanding partners, InterContinental Sydney and NOVA Entertainment, have announced the resigning of their partnership for 2016, launching with a sweet line-up of activations ahead of the third smooth Festival of Chocolate this September 10-11 at The Rocks.
As official accommodation partners for the 2016 smooth Festival of Chocolate, InterContinental Sydney and smoothfm curated a series of events and exclusives to craft the ultimate chocolatier experience.
Guests of InterContinental Sydney will have exclusive access to VIP tickets to the smooth Festival of Chocolate’s VIP event on the Cruise Bar Rooftop for an indulgent Insider Experience, and all guests will receive a special chocolate arrival thanks to smooth partners, Lindt.
InterContinental Sydney also hosted an interactive smooth dining experience inside the award-winning 117 dining to celebrate the lead-up to the festival. Chef Luke Fernley guided guests to prepare and plate a bespoke entrée, while Head Pastry Chef, Simon Veauvy, hosted a fairy-floss making masterclass.

InterContinental Sydney will present chocolate aficionados with the 117 dining by InterContinental Sydney stall on 10 and 11 September at the smooth Festival of Chocolate which attracted 112,000 people last year. The pop-up 117 dining stall will showcase the award-winning restaurant’s food and beverage offering to the hungry masses of foodies that will converge on the Rocks for two decadent days of desserts.
Chef Stephen Lech and his team will be presenting a savoury collection with The Gourmet Hot Dog with cheese Kransky, truffle &cheese aioli, and Texas Style Smoky Pulled beef brisket burgers using Chef Luke’s unique spice blend. Head Pastry Chef, Simon Veauvy, will deliver his decadent fairy-floss lollipop with 72% Mexican salted dark chocolate sable and delicate raspberry dark chocolate ganache, and the Sweet Passion Slice with spice-roasted pineapple, milk chocolate mousse, passionfruit ganache, hazelnut dacquoise and a crunchy praline.
The InterContinental Sydney and NOVA Entertainment partnership welcomes its third year and will continue with innovative collaborations throughout the next 12 months.
