Following the IBTM World trade fair in Barcelona, Noordwijk Marketing organised a ‘Post Tour’ for international meeting planners held from 1-4 December 2016.
A group of fourteen meeting planners were brought to Noordwijk. Throughout a special ‘Beach of Amsterdam’ themed programme, business associates from Canada, France, Denmark, Germany, Greece and even Australia were informed about Noordwijk as a conference destination.
This programme included speed dating sessions with our Noordwijk partners, a spectacular ocean cruise courtesy of the KNRM (Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institute), a lovely dinner at Klooster and a visit to Noordwijk Winter Wonderland. The four major conference hotels – Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, Hotels van Oranje, Radisson Blu Palace Hotel and NH Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst – supplied afternoon and evening meals, as well as guided tours through their establishments. Leiden was on the agenda for Sunday evening, with a visit to the Corpus museum and the Leidse Schouwburg. The tour was concluded with a visit to Amsterdam.
A stunning business card
Sandra Nonhebel, commercial product manager at Noordwijk Marketing, says, “Amsterdam is a famous international destination, but Noordwijk isn’t. It was therefore important to bring the meeting planners here so that they could see and experience Noordwijk as an ideal conference destination. They were amazed by its diverse offering and close proximity to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam. Thanks to excellent contributions by our Noordwijk partners and our colleagues in Leiden, we’ve been able to hand over a stunning business card.”
In addition to the abovementioned establishments, the following Noordwijk companies were also involved: Vesper Hotel, Alexander Hotel, Taxi Jonker, Brouwer’s Tours, Koninklijke Beuk, Have Fun Events, Goesting Events, De Baak Seaside, Golden Tulip Noordwijk Beach and Space Expo.
