1. CHEF MARTIN, THE LARDER

“Forget about fancy table settings and elaborate décor, we serve high-end food in a provincial and approachable way.”

Executive Chef Martin Selby together with Food and Beverage Aficionado Damian Ahern opened The Larder in Koh Samui in 2012. Today it has garnered a loyal island following by meshing modern British & European cuisine with international influences, bringing a mix of comfort food and classics. Complemented by a superb wine list and reconstructed cocktails with a twist, Martin gives patrons a bit of magic with each dining experience.

2. CHEF FRANCOIS, CHEZ FRANCOIS

‘’There’s no menu at all. I’m a chef. This is just me, and the food I make. You get whatever I decide to make for you. All I’ll say is that it will be four courses. And I think you’ll enjoy it’’.

François’ culinary adventure has led him from France to England, The West Indies to Dubai, where he remained as executive chef of one of the most prestigious restaurant institutions in the region, the Emirates Golf Club, for 22 years.

Chef Francois retired to Samui where he opened his restaurant with one simple outlook. “I’m not in this to make money. But I just can’t stop cooking – it’s my life’’.

3. CHEF MARCO, PREGO

‘’My food style is simple Italian food, freshly made with fresh ingredients, there is no secret.’’

Bringing mind-blowing French meals to the small Thai island, Chez François serves classic French food with a local twist through his creative use of local ingredients. Today, his restaurant is one of the finest examples of East meets West on the island.

In 2003, Chef Marco Boscaini introduced Koh Samui visitors and locals to Prego, an upscale dining experience with a quality Italian menu using the finest imported ingredients brought from in and around his homeland.

Chef Marco completed his culinary training at the Instituto Giovanni Pastore in Varallo Sesia of Northern Italy in 1983, and spent over 20 years perfecting his trade. Today, his Italian restaurant stands as one of Koh Samui’s staples for its consistency and superior service, earning a glowing reputation and many regular visitors!

4. CHEF DAVID LLOYD, TOAST

‘We’ve hosted parties for Rock Stars, Artists, Supermodels, Corporate Giants, Royalty and even Olympians. We serve the best culinary experience one can have at Koh Samui with exquisite, luxury food and beverages.’’

Culinary Director, Chef David Lloyd trained in several Michelin Star establishments before moving to Koh Samui to start ‘Toast’, the island’s premier wedding and events catering operation. With over 10 years’ experience catering for weddings in Europe and Australia, his expertise lies in creating bespoke dining experiences from fresh seafood beach buffets to whole hog roasts and artisan pop up bars.
