Introducing Olivier Lenoir, General Manager of Andaz Singapore

Set to open in September 2017, the new Andaz Singapore is pleased to announce the appointment of General Manager Olivier Lenoir, who will lead the opening of the property and manage all aspects of the pre-opening stages of development. In his new role, Olivier will also be responsible for overseeing all property operations.

“I am thrilled to lead the opening efforts here at Andaz Singapore and to be introducing the inspiring Andaz brand to Southeast Asia,” he said. “The bustling district of Kampong Glam, which sits at the crossroads of unique Singaporean neighbourhoods such as Little India, Chinatown and Marina Bay, is a district that has yet to be fully discovered and yet is true to the Andaz brand. We are excited to showcase elements of the destination and local Singaporean culture in all aspects of the property, including local partnerships, a unique design, indigenous cuisine and authentic hospitality.”

An experienced hotelier and Hyatt veteran, Olivier began his career with Hyatt Hotels Corporation 17 years ago. Prior to joining Andaz Singapore, he most recently served as the hotel manager at Grand Hyatt Singapore, having begun his career with postings at Grand Hyatt Jakarta, Grand Hyatt Shenzhen and Grand Hyatt Taipei.

A Swiss native, Olivier has a diploma in hospitality from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne. In addition to speaking French, English and Spanish, he also has a knack for picking up local accents and languages, loving to pepper sentences with “tio bo” (which means “is that correct?” in Hokkien) and “kesian” (which means “poor thing” in Malay) to the amusement of his team members. He loves to travel around the world with his loving wife and two beautiful children, and to experience every destination as a local.

Andaz Singapore will bring stimulating new experiences to this internationally acclaimed city, immersing guests in the eclectic districts of Kampong Glam and Bugis. The premium downtown property will offer 342 guestrooms, including 26 luxury suites; residential-style event venues with floor-to-ceiling windows and loft kitchens; the only rooftop bar in downtown with 360-degree views; and a street-dining-in-the-sky food and beverage concept at Alley on 25.
