One of the most glamorous and technologically advanced hotel suites in the world has been revealed at The Peninsula Hong Kong.

The newly transformed Peninsula Suite is located on the 26th floor with panoramic views of Victoria Harbour from its over-sized private balcony. The suite’s unveiling completes the hotel’s HK$450 million room-enhancement programme.image004 (2)

At 377 square metres, The Peninsula Suite is a truly indulgent place in which to stay and entertain – complete with an expansive living and dining area, harbour-view gymnasium, private cinema, spacious bedroom and dressing room, and revolutionary technology that sets new standards of guest personalisation. Peninsula Suite guests enjoy the services of a Butler, as well as a Rolls-Royce and Chauffeur on 24-hour call.

In the foyer outside The Peninsula Suite, an artistic journey unfolds with a pair of statement works on silkscreen by renowned American contemporary artist Pat Steir. On entering the suite, a sculpture by Chinese artist Sun Yi welcomes the visitor, as the room opens up to reveal an impressive living and dining area with soaring ceilings adorned by a hand-blown Lasvit Bohemian glass chandelier, artfully suspended as if in flight.

Panels of high-gloss, striped, burled mahogany adorn the walls overlooking the dining area, featuring a majestic burr-walnut dining table and Poltrona Frau dining chairs seating up to 10 guests. The impeccable living area features hand-embroidered armchairs, an antique Biedermeier sofa and baby grand piano, a Jolynn Krystosek sculptural paper cutting and a towering oil painting by New York artist Trine Bumiller.

The Peninsula Suite is wired for multi-sensory enjoyment at all levels, with Focal high-fidelity floor standing loudspeakers in the living room and a McIntosh Integrated Amplifier working in harmony to evoke auditorium-worthy acoustics within the suite’s expansive confines.

For movie buffs, a dedicated screening room brings the private-cinema experience to life, thanks to wall-to-wall Panasonic 85-inch, flat-screen, Blu-ray plasma television, Klipsch surround-sound speakers, Denon amplifier and Velodyne subwoofer, as well as automated, reclining seats.

A cocoon-like office-cum-lounge area leads to the master bedroom, where interior touches softened with textured leather-finish wall panels feature delicate sculptural reliefs by London-based designer Helen Amy Murray. Here, spacious individual walk-in closets cater to the grooming and styling needs of male and female Peninsula Suite residents respectively, adjoining a personal gym featuring state-of-the-art body-sculpting equipment by Life Fitness.
