italktravel steps out for charity in Newcastle

The first three italktravel stores in Australia — italktravel Maitland, Rutherford and Newcastle West which opened just last month — took their new brand out for charity last weekend.

Store owners, the van Huisstede family, continued its four-year support of the Mai Wel organisation (delivers flexible and innovative solutions to enable people with a disability to live the life they choose) in Maitland by providing the major prize at the organisation’s fundraiser ball.

Scenic Tours and Singapore Airlines partnered in the prize — two return economy class tickets inc taxes and a European river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest in a balcony suite.

ITG expects to open 100 italktravel stores by the end of 2015. The brand — supported with the slogan “talk to us” — is one of the business and marketing options offered by Independent Travel Group, which is powered by Express Ticketing. ITG has generated a membership of 225 agents across Australia since launching in 2011.
