IT&CMA celebrated its 25th Anniversary in style

Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) has lavishly celebrated its 25th installment and anniversary with an opening ceremony & welcome reception on 26th September 2017 at the well-known Dusit Thani Bangkok Hotel themed “Still on my Mind: A celebration of unforgettable moments.” Hosted by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Guest-of-Honor was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Tanasak Patimapragorn. Some 2,500 invited delegates enjoyed an evening filled by musical acts and a cocktail reception menu that was catered with premium ingredients of the Royal Projects.

IT&CMA together with Corporate Travel World (CTW), the leading MICE double bill event in Asia, was successfully organized by TTG Asia and TCEB during September 26-28, 2017 at Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok, Thailand. Supported by THAI as the official airline and CENTARA GRAND as official hotel, the program featured a pre-show tour in Bangkok on September 25, ASEAN MICE Forum, an official Press Conference and the keynote address “The Next Wave of Growth for the Asia Pacific MICE Industry” by James Latham on behalf of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) at the opening day. The next two days saw “Association Day” and “Campfire” presentations, while for the international media some 10 press briefings slots were reserved as follows:

Actually, there were nearly 500 buyers from some 50 countries, nearly 100 local and international media representatives, as well as some 300 exhibiting companies and organizations as sellers to offer their various tourism products.

The compact exhibition floor plan was perfectly laid out and the buyers could easily walk around at the exhibition booths to meet their appointments, starting with Macao, Philippines, Lanna, Pattaya, Indonesia, Perth, India, Dubai, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and last not least Thailand among others.

The 3-day event ended with the 16th Sticky Awards Lunch & Travel Marketing Excellence 2017, followed by the IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2017 Media Feedback Session, where Darren Ng, Managing Director of TTG Asia, noted down improving remarks from the media for the next show on September 18-20, 2018.

Furthermore, there was an opportunity to join post-show Thailand Tours to Chiang Mai and Trang, as well as a post-show Asia-Pacific Tour to the Philippines.
