Following a successful show in 2016, the 13th annual edition of ITE HCMC will again highlight Viet Nam and the Mekong Region. To be organized at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 7 – 9 September 2017, the largest and most important established travel event in Viet Nam will offer a myriad of exciting tourism products and new developments to registered international and regional buyers and media.

Actually, ITE HCMC has established itself as a gateway to the Mekong Region since 2004 and is the place, where both sellers and trade professionals from the tourism and travel industry meet and exchange the latest issues concerning the growing business opportunities. With a varied program including a pre-show city tour through vibrant Ho Chi Minh, ITE online business matching, trade seminars, and 5 selected post-show tours, ITE HCMC 2017 is set to provide to all participants tourism products of CLMVT, namely Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Viet Nam and Thailand.

A region bustling with opportunities, the so-called CLMVT countries are going through a momentous time together. With the official commencement of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) on 31 December 2015, the five members of ASEAN, which are situated on the mainland of Southeast Asia and share long historical and cultural ties as well as physical borders together, will actually benefit from the single market and production base with free movement of goods and greater liberalization of services, investment and professional workforce. With its combined population of 235 million, an average per capita income of nearly 3,000 USD and an average growth rate of 5.8 percent between 2011 and 2014, CLMVT will become an economic force to be reckoned with, if putting first of all their tourism potential together and sharing prosperity.

Naturally, ITE is heavily supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lao PDR, Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Myanmar, and Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Kingdom of Thailand. Also, the international tourism expo is privileged to gain the recognition as the only national tourism event endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

The organizing committee comprises of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, VINEXAD, and last not least INFORMA Exhibitions. Together, the committee is making sure to put together exciting features and interesting programs for the expo, catering to tourism industry professionals, dignitaries, ministries and the general public.
