It’s A Mystery To Me Why Travellers Buy Black Cases – Colour Is The Way To Go!

I am sure we have all “been there and done it”, that is waiting for sometimes what seems like forever, by the baggage carousel at an airport somewhere in the world, waiting for your checked bag to appear … and yes it is black like most of the other bags appearing on the carousel, as you strain to identify some special feature that sorts your bag from the rest!

unnamed (14)
While the odd colourful ribbon or baggage strap helps, I have always wondered why so many people buy black suitcases, especially with so many amazing coloured and easily spotted on the carousel cases available today and what’s more they look very cool.

So, with Christmas upon and travel in the air, perhaps it is time to invest a unnamed (13)new case, so go on spoil yourself and make a statement, go for nice bright colourful one, with Belgian luggage brand Hedgren just announcing that its latest luggage collection, Transit, will be available in Australia in mid-December – just in time for Christmas, with Hedgren’s signature European style and flair  Transit collection making a bold statement at the luggage carousel in any country, with stunning colour-coded wheels, handles, zip tapes, and pull tabs all matched to the case colour.  Now you will never miss one of these!

Light and durable, the contemporary hard shell cases – my tip is always travel with hard shells for checked baggage and if you can also for carry on  – are made from 100% virgin PC (polycarbonate) and feature Hedgren’s scratch-resistant DNA-grained pattern.

Available in small (cabin), medium and large sizes, and in 3 colour choices: Lucid Turquoise, Passion Purple and Black, the Transit collection has high quality double spinner wheels that are silent and crafted for smooth manoeuvrability, and with a recessed TSA lock and ID tag.

My wife Lyn is firm believer in coloured cases, favouring Paklite’s Altitude collection of hard sided carry on an checked bags, with she and I choosing what we believed was the perfect checked baggage and carry-on cabin baggage fit for us and also right here in Australia with local company Paklite.

My choice was the very smart Paklite Altitude range, which not offered not only two sizes of strong, very light hard shell checked in suitcase, both expandable, perfect for me and those additional things you pick up on trips, but also a very clever carry-on cabin bag that also fitted my criteria, complied with all the airline rules and it weighed only 2.8kgs empty, plus it has a very clever padded, hard pocket on the front, the only hard pocket I found, providing very easy access to my laptop at security – just perfect.

The large Paklite Altitude checked bag only weighs 4.20kgs empty and the medium one 3.50kgs empty – how light are they, yet they are very strong and according to Paklite, made under rigorous quality control.

Check out these images with below from the left, the very clever padded hard tablet/notebook pocket on the carry on cabin bag, with my new Paklite large hard shell and carry on pictured recently on check in at Dubai International Airport – I always add a colourful strap to make carousel identification easier and the Paklite Altitude large hard shell case with Lyn choosing the very bright, but easily recognisable, brilliant orange and believe me, you can’t miss those!
