Internationally renowned bartender Cihan Anadologlu will present the 19th Century “Guest Mixologist” Week at Jade on 36 Bar at Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai from 9 to 15 September 2015. The event will showcase Asian-influenced cocktails with a touch of Western-style bartending from the 19th century.
Cihan has specially created five cocktails for Jade on 36 Bar such as Jade Martini, Old Shanghai and Chinese Mule etc. He wanted to use premium quality products to combine with the history and tradition of China to create unique flavours and aromas in his cocktails. Shanghai is called the Paris of Asia, therefore he wanted to have trendy cocktails for a trendy bar without losing the tradition. The drinks Cihan created this time are the perfect combination of both and he believed that those cocktails would surprise all the guests and make them happier for the day.
Cihan is a consultant of the food and beverage industry. His face is on the covers of such magazines as GQ and Wall Street Journal. He has also been selected for various film productions.
One of Cihan’s biggest achievements to date is winning the “Bacardi Grey Goose Global Finals”. He also received the honour of creating his own cocktail for the Oscars 2014. He achieved great success at the “Tales of the Cocktail” in New Orleans in 2014 with the “Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar” award as head bartender of Schumann´s Bar.
