Jamaica welcomed 180 passengers at the Sangster International Airport on December 20 as the inaugural Spirit Airlines flight 441 from Detroit Metro Airport arrived in Montego Bay. The inaugural flight, which will operate three times weekly: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, took off amidst much fanfare and celebrations at the Detroit Metro Airport. Prior to departure, passengers were treated to sounds of reggae music with lots of prizes and giveaways. The scheduled return for this service from Montego Bay is 12:15 pm arriving Detroit at 4:33 pm.
