One lucky schoolie will be driving away in a slick new Jeep Compass and will also win a Fijian holiday for their parents simply for booking through schoolies.com, with the big prize being announced at the start of the 2016 celebrations onNovember 19.

CEO for schoolies.com Matt Lloyd said the excitement was building for Schoolies 2016, with the Jeep and Fiji holiday giveaway putting it on track for one of the most successful events yet.

“It is the biggest prize offer in the company’s 28 year history and has contributed significantly to the very strong booking numbers for 2016,’’ Mr Lloyd said.

Mr Lloyd said approximately 30,000 students would descend on the Gold Coast alone for Schoolies 2016 from November 19, injecting approximately $48 million into the local economy.

Other destinations including Airlie Beach, Byron Bay, Lorne and the Sunshine Coast will also be bursting with energy as teenagers en-masse trade the schoolbooks for surf, sun and celebration.

The Gold Coast’s biggest beach festival, Schoolies Nation, has once again attracted a wave of talent with an awesome line-up of leading DJs including Timmy Trumpet, New World Sound and Bombs Away confirmed for the middle of Schoolies Week.

This year’s third-annual Schoolies Nation Beach Festival is once again powered by official music partner Ministry of Sound, Australia’s largest independent dance music label. Organised by Schoolies.com, the beach festival is part of Schoolies Tour – a seven-night extravaganza featuring 50 plus DJs across four stages, including the beach stage and associated clubs.

There are awesome Schoolies-only events held at other Schoolies destinations including the Schoolies Nation Beach Festival Airlie Beach, Pool Party at Nomads Airlie Beach, Byron Bay Launch Party, Byron Bay All Ages Party and more.

Schoolies.com says visiting Schoolies spend on average, $1600 each comprising approximately $600 for accommodation and $1000 for entertainment, food and other items.

Schoolies.com itself contributes over $1.6 million annually on additional security patrols, 24 hour helpline for students, parents and property managers, exclusive Schoolies only events and more.

“An enormous amount of planning and effort goes into ensuring  all relevant emergency and security staff are on site, making sure the event is an enjoyable experience not only for Schoolies but for local businesses and residents as well,’’ Mr Lloyd said.
