Jetset Travelworld Group speaks of full-year results

egtmedia59Jetset Travelworld (JTG), will announce full-year results for the year ended 30 June 2013 on 27 August.

JTG yesterday announced plans to create a single brand, helloworld, to unify its image. JTG expects the first stores to adopt the new brand in the final quarter of this year and most of the transformation to be completed within 18 months.

Announcing the move yesterday, JTB chief executive Rob Gurney  said the unaudited trading Sidebar-Article-Banner-250results for the 12 months ended 30 June 2013 indicated that adjusted EBITDAI (earnings before interest expense, tax, depreciation, amortisation, impairment and non-recurring items) is expected to be in the range of AUD 52 million to AUD 54.5 million, representing an increase on the prior year result in the range of 3-8% (subject to any adjustments that might arise).

Gurney said the long-term strategy for JTG was firmly focused on growing a strong position in the market by better leveraging the scale of the Group, building on consumer insights and delivering new and innovative products to meet changing needs.

For shareholders, this business transformation would deliver long-term value through:

  • Creating a highly consumer-focused travel distribution network
  • Consolidating marketing spend to capture a greater share of voice
  • Capturing growth through digital distribution 

“We are ambitious in our goals to reshape the Australian travel industry and have embarked on a major transformation for the Group. Over the next 18 months, we will focus on implementing the most substantial changes,” Gurney said.

According to the JTG website, Jetset Travelworld Group brands include: Travelscene American Express, Harvey World Travel, Jetset Travel, Travelworld, Qantas Holidays, Viva Holidays, Travel Indochina, BestFlights.com.au, Rail Tickets, ReadyRooms.com.au, Harvey’s Choice Holidays, ATS Pacific, QBT, Atlantic Pacific Travel and Air Tickets, in Australia; United Travel, Harvey World Travel, Go Holidays, ATS Pacific, Atlantic Pacific American Express, World Aviation and QBT in New Zealand; Qantas Vacations, and Islands in the Sun in the United States of America; Tourist Transport Fiji and ATS Pacific in Fiji; Travel Indochina in Asia and the United Kingdom; and Harvey World Travel in South Africa.
