This year marks Jetstar Asia’s 10 years of flying to Bangkok, the milestone coinciding with the Jetstar Group’s 11th birthday celebrations this month, bringing over a decade of great value, low fares and innovation to travellers.
Jetstar Asia commenced operations from Singapore to Bangkok in March 2005 with 14 weekly services and strong customer demand has seen this grow to up to 35 weekly services today. The Jetstar Group currently operate up to 52 flights a week to Bangkok with three of its airlines
Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Australia and New Zealand and Jetstar Pacific – bringing more travellers from Singapore, Australia and Vietnam to the popular Thai destination. Jetstar Asia CEO Barathan Pasupathi said the airline was pleased to have played a role in transforming the nature of travel in the region.
“Airfares for SGD55 or lower have changed the way that people travel – they travel more often, for more reasons and to destinations that they may have never previously considered,” said Mr Pasapathi.
“Bangkok is a destination that Singaporeans return to time and time again and it is not surprising that the route is one of the busiest LCC routes in the world.
Jetstar Asia was recently named the AsiaOne People’s Choice for best low cost carrier in 2015 for the third year running.
