Jetstar pax refused entry at Emirates Singapore lounge

July 7, 2016 Headline News 1 Comment Print Print Email Email

egtmedia59Book an Emirates flight that includes a Jetstar sector and look out. My gold card boasts entry into any Emirates lounge – but not in Singapore I discovered last night. On my way to Bangkok, I got off the Emirates A380 and arrived at the lounge only to be told by manager Chris Ho that Jetstar (operating the Singapore Bangkok leg) did not rate. To get into our lounge you have to be flying Emirates or Qantas he said. This is an Emirates ticket I replied – how am I supposed to know there is a problem? No answer. I doubt I am the first person to walk into this mess that needs either to be fixed – or made very clear to pax thinking they will enjoy business class facilities on an entire journey. And that, surely, is a basic  right.

    From the Emirates website –
” Lounge access is not available if you are travelling on flights operated by other carriers (including Emirates codeshare flights).”
