A huge orange suitcase belonging to Jetstar has been positioned on the steps of the State Library of Victoria en route to Terminal 4, Australia’s newest airport terminal and Jetstar’s new home in Melbourne.
Melbournians are invited to take a ‘selfie’ photo next to the two metre tall by four metre wide suitcase for the chance to win two return Jetstar flights to any domestic destination in the country*.
The unmissable package will travel to Terminal 4 when Jetstar moves in there on 10 November, , kicking off an official house-warming party that includes live music, magic tricks and lollipops for all Jetstar passengers travelling through the new terminal.
Melbourne Terminal 4 aims to reduce queues with quick and easy check-in using almost double the previous number of self-check-in kiosks and new automated bag drop units.
Jetstar Australia and New Zealand CEO, David Hall said, “We’re very excited to be moving to our new Melbourne home at Terminal 4 and know our customers are looking forward to it too. The larger terminal has more departure gates, meaning we can grow our services and make affordable travel accessible for even more Australians.
“Whether it’s a quick trip or a longer getaway, the travel experience begins at the airport and the new domestic terminal will deliver a more relaxing and enjoyable experience to all customers that fly with Jetstar from Melbourne,” added Hall.
The convenient new terminal features an integrated ground transport hub for passenger set down and pick-up areas as well as fashion, food and beverage stores, a relaxing departure lounge with 1,200 seats and sweeping views of the airfield through floor to ceiling windows.
