Jinjuu Opens This November In Lan Kwai Fong

unnamed (31)Jinjuu, London’s stylish modern Korean restaurant and bar, is coming to Hong Kong, set to open this November in Lan Kwai Fong’s California Tower. Founded by French trained Korean-American Londoner Judy Joo, Jinjuu is a modern take on Korean tastes giving guests a dining experience that is not traditionally Korean, but uniquely Korean.

Since opening late 2014, London’s Jinjuu has been recognised by Michelin Guide, who stated: “American-born celebrity chef Judy Joo’s first London restaurant is a celebration of her Korean heritage. The vibrant dishes, whether Bibimbap bowls or Ssam platters, burst with flavour and are as enjoyable as the fun surroundings.”

Jinjuu brings the modern Korean Anju culture of ‘eating while drinking’ to street level in LKF. “Jinjuu is based on the Korean philosophy that drinking should always be accompanied by good food. At Jinjuu, the focus is as much on food as cocktails.” says Judy.

Jinjuu is a stylish restaurant and bar where a sophisticated interpretation of modern Korean dining comes to life. With a menu encompassing both classic and street food fare, highlights include the tasty selection of Anju such as Jinjuu Prawn Crackers, andJinjuu Carnitas Fries, an assortment of Korean Tacos, K-Town Mini Slider Buns, Mandoo – Korean dumplings, signature Korean Fried Chicken, mains to share from Off the Grill Ssam Platters and Bibimbap Bowls. Expect French style desserts with Korean touches. “It’s food that hugs you back,” Judy says.

Kimchi Mary

Executive Bar Manager Kristian Breivik has crafted innovative Korean inspired cocktails that take tipplers on a journey around fresh Soju tastes and Korean ingredients. Judy says, “Our cocktails drive the concept! Jinjuu signatures are the White Rice Negroni andKimchi Mary – if you’re a Bloody Mary fan you’ll love ours! As well as innovative Soju cocktails, Jinjuu offers the largest selection of Soju selections in Hong Kong.” With a lot of big bold flavours, mixed with playful concoctions from the restaurant and bar, Jinjuu is set to become LKF’s most impressive new drinking and dining destination.

Celebrity chef, Judy Joo

The warm, cosy and inviting ambience is designed by Substance. The warehouse interior subtly juxtapositions elements of Korean culture with soft textures against industrial metal features.

“Jinjuu is going to be a lot of fun. Lively, hip, beautiful and tasty. The kind of vibe that makes you forget about the outside world as you walk in and leaves you craving for more,” says Judy.
