Twenty years after a catastrophic accident which left him partially paralysed, rock and mountain climber, Paul Pritchard, is returning to Tasmania’s Totem Pole – and World Expeditions invites you to join him!

The story of his continuing recovery from the crushing injury and his never-wavering desire for adventure was documented in the award-winning movie, Doing it Scared and in a national speaking tour, which left audiences enthralled by his humility and inspired by his courage.

According to Paul, one of his primary reasons for returning to climb the Totem Pole was to prove that disabled people are not unable.

“It’s society that is disabled around them,” he says.

“The accident taught me a lot about acceptance and about letting the future go without anticipation,” Paul says, “and with this acceptance, comes the courage to navigate the necessary stumbling stones of life.”

For the ultimate opportunity to be part of Paul’s story, join World Expeditions’ on a four day walk with Paul Pritchard along Tasmania’s wild coastline on his annual pilgrimage to the Totem Pole.  The tour departs Hobart on 9 November, 2017. And costs $1,895 per person.
