Adventure Associates has announced an exciting new expedition to the island of Madagascar led by renowned television news presenter and conservationist Richard Morecroft.

Best known for its lemurs, bizarre-looking chameleons and majestic baobab trees, magical Madagascar is a dream destination for nature lovers, with rare plants and animals found nowhere else on Earth.

Morecroft is a Trustee of the World Wide Fund for Nature, Patron of the Wildlife Information and Rescue Service, and Governor of Taronga Zoo Foundation. For more than two decades he was one of Australia’s most familiar television faces as ABC’s nightly news presenter and host of wildlife documentaries.

The small group tour will travel by plane, minibus, 4WD, canoe, boat and on foot to experience Madagascar’s many cultural and natural wonders.

The 21-day Madagascar – A Lost World tour departs from Madagascar’s capital Antananarivo on 30 May 2015. Highlights include the spectacular Avenue des Baobabs; the rich culture of Antsirabe; Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, known for its rare orchids that bloom in the forest; a cruise on the Pangalanes Canal and Lake Antibe; the hot springs of Ranomafana; the World Heritage listed Tsingy de Bemaraha; and two nights on the island of Sainte Marie.

After the tour guests may chose to extend their stay on the spectacularly beautiful volcanic French island of Réunion.

Prices start from $9990 per person twin-share including accommodation and equipment, transport, meals and flights within Madagascar. Places are limited to just 16 participants, ensuring a relaxed and in-depth experience.
