JTG Announces New Chief Marketing Officer

Jetset Travelworld Group (JTG) announces the appointment of Kim Portrate as Chief Marketing Officer reporting to CEO Rob Gurney.

Kim has spent the last five years with Tourism Australia where she led the consumer marketing team in global strategy, program development and the implementation of all consumer marketing activities across 17 markets.  In particular, Kim was responsible for a range of innovative programs and campaigns that leveraged relationships with key partners, while also leading the development and delivery of all digital assets.

Rob Gurney, CEO at JTG says he is delighted to welcome Kim to JTG.

“Kim comes to us with an extensive strategic planning background, stakeholder management and travel industry experience.  This will be leveraged to direct and manage JTG’s marketing presence which will make a real impact in the industry. A key component of our business transformation is to build consumer insights and add capabilities in terms of the development and execution of our marketing strategy. Kim has a wealth of experience in both of these areas and I am pleased that she is joining our team,” says Gurney.

Prior to joining Tourism Australia, Kim was Director of Insight and Innovation at Carat Media Services Australia where she was responsible for the development, delivery, pricing and quality of communication products and services delivered to local, regional and global clients.  Over the years, Kim has also worked for other agencies in Australia and in the US.  This has included roles as Senior Vice President Group Planning Direct at BBDO Worldwide and Senior Vice President of Planning at D’Arcy Worldwide Inc.
