JTG appoints Head of Affiliate Network and new GM Airline Representation

Jetset Travelworld Group (JTG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kaylene Shuttlewood to the role of Head of Affiliate Network and introduces James Vaile as its new General Manager Airline Representation.

Both Kaylene and James will transition into their new roles over the coming weeks.

Rob Gurney, CEO at JTG, says Kaylene and James will play key roles in JTG’s ongoing strategy forhelloworld.

“It’s my pleasure to welcome Kaylene to her new role and James to the team. As Head of Affiliate Network, Kaylene will leverage her more than 20 years of experience with JTG and the Stella Travel Group to lead helloworld‘s Affiliate Network and the Concorde Agency Network,” says Gurney.

Gurney says James’ extensive experience within the travel industry will assist with a smooth transition for JTG’s partners and ensure that World Aviation Systems (WAS) and Global Aviation Services (GAS) remain the premier General Sales Agency in Australia and New Zealand.

“James’ vast experience working closely with airlines across all distribution channels in various senior management roles across Asia Pacific, Europe and the UK makes him ideal to lead the Air Representation division with the launch of our new brand, helloworld,” says Gurney.

Embarking on her new role, Kaylene says the Affiliate Model is an important component of the ongoing transformation of JTG’s retail business.

“The Affiliate Model is designed for independent travel agents who seek to access the buying power and technology of Australia’s largest travel agency collective. Being aligned to  helloworld offers many benefits, including access to helloworld’s preferred supplier arrangements, Air Tickets’ technology and a range of opportunities to network with like-minded individuals from within the Affiliate network,” says Shuttlewood.

“My initial priority will be to focus on all of our Affiliate agents and emphasise the value proposition of thehelloworld network, its operational structure and to demonstrate its many benefits over current offerings. Our CAN agents can be assured that the team of people that have supported them will continue to provide the same high level of service they’ve received in the past.”
