JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa’s much anticipated Gourmet Weekend takes place on November 14 to 16 2014, incorporating a series of specialist-led cooking demonstrations and set dinners and culminating in a Charity Dinner.

The Gourmet Weekend fits perfectly with JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa’s position as a leading epicurean destination in Phuket and indeed Thailand, offering plenty for both in-house guests and Phuket residents who adore fine dining, fine wine and healthy eating.

The Charity Dinner on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the resort’s Marriott Café will feature the culinary creations of 5 internationally renowned chefs. Priced at THB 2,900 ++ per person, the evening’s menu is a scintillating line-up of Japanese, Thai, Western and seafood dishes.

Funds raised from the Charity Dinner will be presented to the Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation, for its project to build a facility dedicated to the protection of Phuket’s endangered sea turtles who face threat of commercial fishing, consuming or becoming entangled in ocean litter and being hit by speedboats. The Marine Turtle Shelter & Education Center is due to open in mid-2015 at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa on land donated by the resort. Mai Khao Marine Turtle Foundation was launched in 2002 by the resort and is this year celebrating its 12th anniversary. Print
