Organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs Bureau of Foreign Trade and implemented by TAITRA, the 2015 Kaohsiung Food Show will be held at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center from November 5th to 8th.
The show will be the event of the year for Southern Taiwan’s food and catering industry, and will be displaying fresh produce, seafood, meat and dairy products, vegetarian and organic foods, food franchises, frozen foods, and all kinds of beverages, alcoholic drinks, tea, and coffee. Connecting both upstream and downstream industries, the first Kaohsiung International Hotel, Restaurant, Baking and Catering Show (Kaohsiung HORECA) will be held at the same time, hopefully attracting the enthusiastic participation of more industry professionals.
The organizers state that the Kaohsiung Food Show is the Southern food industry’s most professional procurement platform. The show had a high turn out of 27,269 people last year, bringing large crowds of visitors to the event venue and breaking unprecedented records. A returning exhibitor, Jia Tien Industrial Co., Ltd., expressed that last year they had been able to come in contact with several food distributors and industry manufacturers; Wei-I Foodstuff Co., Ltd. also stated that, in addition to domestic buyers, the show is an effective platform for exposure to foreign buyers.
Exhibitors of the 2015 show will include Greenmax Mayushan Foods Co., Ltd., Haw-Di-I Foods Co., Ltd. (Bullhead Barbecue Sauce), Long Kow Foods Enterprise Corporation, D.E. Chung Hua Foods Co., Ltd., King To Nin Jiom Medicine Manufactory Co., Ltd., Kokumori Foods Co., Ltd., Land Young Foods Co., Ltd., Billion Country Trading Co., Ltd., Soon Yi Superfrozen Co., Ltd., and many others. Visitors will be able to look forward to delectable and mouthwatering food displays. Kaohsiung City Government Marine Bureau, Agriculture Bureau, and Taiwan Frozen Seafood Industries Association will also be showcasing their freshest products of the best quality in a large display area. Foreign manufacturers from Japan, Austria, Belgium, Germany, and the Philippines will also be exhibiting, bringing a delightful array of exotic flavors to Kaohsiung this autumn.
This year, organizers will expand their acclaimed International Food Distributors Sourcing Fair. Last year’s procurement meeting invited a total of 36 international buyers to meet with a number of domestic manufacturers, facilitating business opportunities worth over ten million US dollars. This year, organizers will once again promote the show to international buyers through overseas offices and invite them to visit Taiwan for procurement of high-quality Taiwanese food. The show aims to and anticipates aiding domestic manufacturers in the promotion of high-quality foods and brands to more overseas markets.
