Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has launched its latest ‘Discover Magical Kenya’ campaign with the aim of showcasing the destination’s breadth of experiences and magical moments to the Australian market.
Centred around a series of content developed by a team of Australian digital influencers, the campaign is designed to engage and inspire more visitors to Kenya.
KTB recruited five Australian digital influencers to experience the home of the original safari, each showcasing one of Kenya’s key drawcards: wildlife, adventure, luxury, conservation and culture.
With tailored itineraries to highlight each theme, the influencers enjoyed a full scope of activities and experiences including spotting the ‘big five’ on safari across Kenya’s magnificent national parks; afternoon tea with the resident giraffes of Giraffe Manor; breathtaking sunrise atop Mount Kenya; and a unique insight into the local Maasai villages, to name a few.
Australian wholesalers, The Africa Safari Co., This is Africa, The Classic Safari Company and World Expeditions, partnered with KTB to create the unique itineraries for each of the influencers.
The captivating imagery, blog posts and video content was gathered together and has gone live on a dedicated campaign microsite (www.discovermagicalkenya.com.au), enticing Aussies to follow their journeys, and then enter the competition for a chance to win a Kenyan adventure.
The lucky winner will score the ultimate seven night safari for two valued at over AUD$18,500, to discover Kenya’s wildlife, adventure, luxury, culture and conservation offerings, all in one incredible itinerary provided by The Africa Safari Co, Qatar Airways and Canon.

Participants can enter up to five times throughout the six week campaign, ending 18 April 2016. KTB will also be supporting the promotion through digital advertising during the campaign period.
KTB Australia trade representative Bart Druitt said the campaign has created a fantastic platform to showcase Kenya’s broad offerings and keep Kenya top of mind for Aussies considering an African holiday.
“Kenya is the home of the original safari and the destination offers visitors some of the best game viewing in the world. However, what many Aussies don’t realise is that the destination also has a unique culture, strong conservation initiatives, incredible adventure activities and a broad range of accommodation options.
“This campaign was created to highlight each of these offerings to Australians who may be considering a holiday with a difference – Kenya truly is a magical place and we hope this campaign showcases just that through engaging raw content,” said Mr Druitt.
