Kick Off The Summer With The 2nd Annual ‘Food, Fashion And Fitness’ Getaway At Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa
This summer, Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa will hold its second annual ‘Food, Fashion and Fitness’ programme, where cuisine, fashion trends and health come together, in one of the most beautiful locations in the world from 18 – 21 June 2015.
Nestled in verdant jungle beside a white sandy beach, the award-winning Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa, situated on the Riviera Maya in Mexico, offers pure escapism with a touch of Mayan magic. This secluded paradise is a haven of wellbeing where guests can start the day with a rejuvenating yoga class and end it with a purifying session in a traditional temazcal sauna.
The location of the resort provides a tranquil and inspiring location in which guests are eased into developing healthy lifestyle choices and exploring physical limits. The weekend includes both adventurous and relaxing activities, such as fun fitness classes on the beach, jungle obstacle runs, organic cookery class and fashion tips. To wrap up the weekend, ‘Food, Fashion and Fitness’ participants will take part in a mini-triathlon.

Yoga – Sanskrit; a word that means union. The classes are multi-levelled Vinayasa, which allows for individuals of all experiences to work on their own level from beginners to experts. The hotel’s classes offer the opportunity for guests to explore their body and mind, so each class is a personal inner journey.
Organic Cooking Class at Mayan Village
José Eugenio Villafaña, the hotel’s Executive Chef, hosts a cooking class with organic ingredients surrounded by the magical atmosphere of the Mayan Village, demonstrating that health is also tasty.
Chef’s Table with Healthy Food Trends
Enjoy a five-course menu with healthy ingredients paired with Mexican wines. José Eugenio Villafaña, Executive Chef and Gabriel Cerón, Sommelier, will lead guests through a journey filled with flavours and aromas.
Morning Boot Camp
Guests can start their morning with running two laps that have been marked. Next, 20 minutes of abs/core workout. Back up for another two laps; then going into boot camp/drill workout. Finish with two more laps.
Guests can have fun with marked off obstacles throughout the exotic jungle of Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa’s little paradise. Team based!
Janzu Class At Kinan Spa
Through gentle rocking movements and stretching in the hotel’s meditation pool, this treatment allows a gentle release of both physical and emotional blockage.
Close with a flourish! Swim, bike and run. This will be a mini-tri with short distance races of all the events.
