Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Kimimasa Yuasa as Director of Sales, Japan.

image003Based at the Global Sales Office in Tokyo, Kimimasa will be responsible for managing key clients in Japan and expanding the market through the generation of sales leads and bookings for the Group’s over 30 “Pan Pacific” and PARKROYAL hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia, Oceania and North America.

Most recently, Kimimasa was Director, Starwood Sales Japan with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Throughout his 12-year tenure with the company, Kimimasa built up a proven performance track record in managing domestic and outbound sales from Japan, developing wholesale package tours for Starwood hotels, as well as fostering MICE business opportunities in second-tier Japanese cities.

Prior to that, Kimimasa garnered over 20 years of corporate and MICE sales experience in various management positions with New Otani Hotel in Tokyo and Los Angeles, as well as Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.

“Japan has a strong heritage of being an important feeder market for many of our properties across the globe. With Kimimasa’s appointment, we are looking forward to working with him to strengthen the affinity our “Pan Pacific” and PARKROYAL brands already enjoy among Japanese travellers, and to further develop the market’s sales potential, especially within the corporate and MICE segments,” says Kevin Croley, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

Headquartered in Singapore, Pan Pacific Hotels Group currently has Global Sales Offices and/or sales representation in Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney, New York, San Francisco and London. A new Global Sales Office in Beijing is set to open this year.

On the development front, the Group is on track to expand rapidly in key destinations across Asia Pacific.

Last month, Pan Pacific Hotels Group opened PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw, the first international hotel in the capital of Myanmar, and will launch Pan Pacific Hotel and Serviced Suites Tianjin in China later this year. Another seven “Pan Pacific” and PARKROYAL hotels and resorts are also scheduled to open in Australia, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar over the next three years.
