Korea Tourism Organization (CEO Jung Chang-soo) has announced the launch of the global tourism campaign – ‘Write Your Name in Korea’ which aims to enhance the image of Korea as a tourist destination. The campaign began on August 20, 2015 and will continue until the end of this year.
Korea Tourism Organization are inviting all who love Korea and wish to visit Korea one day to participate in this campaign. By joining the event, participants will be able to have their name engraved on ‘Sang Sang Gil’ (meaning “imagination road” in Korean), and take the first step toward making their imagination about Korea come to life.
The “Write Your Name in Korea” campaign consists of two major promotions. The first promotion runs until September 30, 2015 at http://www.imagineyourkorea.
The first 23,000 applicants who successfully submit their name and nationality will be selected to have their names displayed on ‘Sang Sang Gil.’ Among the applicants, one person per week, a total of six people will be randomly selected and granted an opportunity to visit Korea. The winner and one companion will be awarded round-trip air tickets to Korea, three nights’ accommodation, and a one day tour of ‘Sang Sang Gil’ in Changwon.
In addition, if applicants of the above event visit ‘Sang Sang Gil’, they can receive special gifts and enjoy a free ride on the Changwon City Tour Bus. This promotion lasts until December 31, 2015.
‘Sang Sang Gil’ is located in the city of Changwon on the southern coast of Korea. Building upon its rich history and thanks to its recent revitalization project, the city of Changwon has become a cultural hot spot for up-and-coming artists, especially in areas like Chang-dong Art Village, which has a rich history of over 250 years. Consequently, visitors are sure to experience the unique southern charms of Changwon as well as earn a chance to explore various cultural aspects the city has to offer.
