Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong offers guests a range of dining options and treats in celebration of Mother’s Day this year. http://www.miceasiaexhibition.com/ As Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show appreciation to mothers and pamper them for their years of love, the hotel has prepared special menus at its restaurants for all families to enjoy.
On 9 and 10 May 2015, Café Kool features a Mother’s Day dinner buffet that includes a host of family favourites and international fare.  Each guest will be welcomed with a Bird’s Nest with Papaya and Snow Fungus Soup upon arrival.  They can also enjoy dishes include Serrano Ham, Assorted Cheese Platter, Roasted Capsicum Salad with Pan-Fried Fish, Seafood on Ice with unlimited servings of Lobster, Snow Crab, Mantis Shrimp, Medium Prawn, Clam, Whelk and Mussel.

There will also be Sushi and Sashimi, Pan-Fried Foie Gras, Slow-Roasted Salmon with Rose Cream Sauce, Grilled Rib Eye, Indian and Malaysian delicacies, and many more.  An array of homemade desserts and Häagen-Dazs ice cream in 12 different flavours will also be available.  Opening times and buffet prices are as follows:

With views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong Island skyline, Lobby Lounge is a place where guests can relax comfortably in a classic and elegant setting with live music throughout the afternoon.  On 10 May 2015, a Mother’s Day-themed afternoon tea buffet will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. for only HK$318 for adults and HK$268 for children.

Guests can look forward to a selection of Sushi, Rice Cracker with Foie Gras Terrine and Yuzu Jam, Egg Rolls with Barbequed Eel, Prawns and Mango Salad with Passion Fruit Vinaigrette, Lychee with Honey Shooter, Heart-Shaped Orange Vanilla French Toast with Strawberry, Green Tea Opera Cake, Chocolate Mille Feuille with Hazelnut Cream and many other cold and hot items plus a variety of desserts.

Between 9 and 10 May 2015, Executive Chinese Chef Mok Kit Keung at Michelin two-starred Shang Palace will prepare a range of Mother’s Day-themed dim sums to show filial piety to all mothers.  Specialties include Sea Cucumber and Morel Mushroom Dumpling served in Supreme Broth, Deep-Fried Lobster Spring Rolls with Minced Garlic, Baked Wagyu Beef and Cordyceps Flower Buns, Baked Duck and Leek Pastry, Steamed Scallop Dumplings with Bird’s Nest and Baked Abalone Puff with Minced Chicken.  Featuring Cantonese delicacies, specially designed seven-course lunch and nine-course dinner menus priced at HK$498 per person and HK$1080 per person, respectively, will also be on offer.  For details, please refer to Appendix I.

Renowned for serving traditional kaiseki, Chef Kojima and his team have created a special Mother’s Day set menu.  Available on 10 May 2015, the Mother’s Day Kaiseki set lunch and dinner are priced at only HK$450 per person and HK$980 per person, respectively.  Prices include a glass of Asahi super dry draught beer.  For the menus, please refer to Appendix II.

Déli Kool’s executive pastry chef, Thomas Broger, will add a sweet touch to the happy occasion with his special heart-shaped cakes, including Raspberry Mousse Cake, Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake, Mango Mascarpone Mousse Cake and Mixed Berry Puff Cake.  French pastries, such as Hazelnut Chocolate Cake, Raspberries Yogurt Mousse Cake, Strawberry Cookie and Rainbow Cake with Roses, will also be on offer between 4 and 10 May 2015 to surprise the taste buds of every mother.  Please call (852) 2733 8757 to place an order.
