img_2789aIn support of the annual Operation Santa Claus (OSC) charity fundraising project, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong has invited Hong Kong’s top fashion designers – Allan Chiu, Henry Lau, Walter Ma and Benny Yeung – to present a teddy bear charity sale and outfit design competition to raise money for the needy.  The hotel has the honour of having the designers design and produce unique outfits for the plush bear that will be displayed in the hotel lobby from early November to end of December to inspire the competition’s participants.

This year marks the 14th year of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s support of OSC.  Following the artistic themes of the charity initiatives from the previous years, the hotel once again organises another design event for donors to contribute to this good cause.

With a donation of HK$90 or more, guests can purchase a 20-centimetre-tall plush sitting bear.  It comes with a sketch card printed with the bear’s outline.  Guests can participate in the Teddy Bear Outfit Design Competition by designing a perfect outfit for the plush toy.  They can draw, colour and optionally add ornaments, spangles, trimmings or patterns to the outline; 2D or 3D designs are welcome.  Individual sketch cards are available at HK$10 each for guests who wish to participate in the competition only or give their teddy more outfit designs.

Competition participants are required to submit their designs on the sketch card to the hotel by 9 December 2016.
