Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong Offers Diners August Delights

Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong offers diners a host of special culinary experiences this August, with tempting offers available at Shang Palace, Nadaman, Angelini, Café Kool and Déli Kool.

A Beef Feast at Shang Palace at Shang Palace

This August, Executive Chinese Chef Mok Kit Keung prepares top-grade beef sourced from around the world for his new creations, all meticulously prepared with an Oriental twist.  New beef dim sum items are also on offer.  Guests may relish a variety of delicacies, including Stir-Fried Angus Beef Fillet and Amber Wood Fungus with Preserved Olive and Tangerine Peel Paste; Stewed Local Beef Brisket, Turnip and Celery in Clear Broth; Stir-Fried Kagoshima Wagyu Beef with Wild Mushroom and Crispy Garlic; Deep-Fried Taro Pastries with Minced Beef and Tangerine Peel; and Steamed Red Rice Flour Rolls with Wagyu Beef Spring Roll, just to name a few.

Wild about Matsutake at Nadaman

Matsutake – widely known as “the king of mushroom” for its intense aroma – is on Nadaman’s menu throughout August. Chef Tsuji and his team have created an array of scrumptious dishes with the seasonal matsutake mushroom in a Japanese way, such as charcoal grilled, soup in a tea pot or tempura, to name a few.  Menu highlights also include

Sliced Matsutake Mushroom with Grated Radish Ponzu Sauce, Simmered Matsutake Mushroom with Seasonal Greens, Traditional “Matsutake-Gohan” Rice, Simmered Matsutake Mushroom with Live Lobster and many more.

Lobster All the Way at Angelini

Boston lobster, a firm favourite with foodies, is under the spotlight in Angelini’s kitchen.  Diners can savour its sophisticated succulence and meaty sensation in a range of tempting delicacies, which includes Apulia Burrata Cheese, Sicilian Organic Tomato Salad; Home-Made Black and White Tagliolini Pasta, Scallops, King Prawns and Red Shrimp served in a Parchment Paper Box; Spaghetti Martelli with Lobster, Cherry Tomatoes and Fresh Basil; Tuscany Orbetello Sea Bass wrapped in “Carta Fata” Foil in Mediterranean Style;         Slow-Cooked Pork Belly, Jerusalem Artichoke and Chanterelle Mushroom and more.  This menu is available between 9 August and 13 September 2017.

Hot off the Stove at Angelini

Chef Alessandro takes dining experience to new heights by introducing new appetisers, pastas, main courses and desserts, in addition to his signature and ever-popular dishes.  Menu highlights include Apulia Burrata Cheese, Sicilian Organic Tomato Salad; Home-Made Ravioli filled with Carbonara Sauce, Organic Vegetables and Bacon; Spaghetti Martelli with Lobster, Cherry Tomatoes and Fresh Basil; Tuscany Orbetello Sea Bass wrapped in “Carta Fata’’ Foil in Mediterranean Style; Slow-Cooked Pork Belly, Jerusalem Artichoke and Chanterelle Mushroom and many more.  All are available from 28 August 2017.

New Signature Creations at Café Kool

Café Kool’s talented chefs elevate the guests’ dining experience with new signature dishes made using their secret recipes, taking palates on a round-the-world tour.  Diners will enjoy Matcha Soba Noodles with Crab Meat and Shrimp, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Roasted Rib Eye, Ginger Chocolate with Roasted Pear, BBQ Pork with Chinese Egg Waffles and many more.

The newly revamped lunch buffet is available at the following times and prices:

Monday to Thursday

12:00 n.n. to 2:30 p.m.

Friday to Sunday and public holidays

New Executive Pastry Chef at Déli Kool

New Executive Pastry Chef Wins and his experienced team present a delicious range of classic and creative cakes, along with sweet delights which will surely please every sweet tooth.  The selection of sweet delights includes Baileys Marbled Cheesecake, Black Forest Cake, Mango Coconut Mousse Cake, Mixed Berries Lavender Gateaux, Salted Carmel Apple and many more.  These creative cakes are available from 1 August 2017.

The Summer Macaroon at Déli Kool

Executive Pastry Chef Wins Hung brings the sweetest summer with a macaroon-shaped cake featuring vanilla mousseline cream, egg white and fresh apricot.  This new creation is priced at only HK$300.
