Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong offers diners a host of special culinary experiences this July, with tempting offers available at Shang Palace, Nadaman, Angelini, Café Kool, Lobby Lounge, Tapas Bar and Déli Kool.

Seafood with a Summer Twist at Shang Palace

Fresh citrus seafood specialities are under the spotlight this July.  Executive Chinese Chef Mok Kit Keung has added a refreshing touch to his new creations for the summer, featuring seafood delicacies served with fragrant, juice-laden citrus. Guests may relish a variety of delicacies, including Crispy Hiroshima Oysters with Finger Lime, Double-Boiled Eel Broth with Lime served in a Coconut, Crispy Baby Squids with Lime and Deep-Fried Marble Goby with Thai Citrus Vinegar Dressing, Baked Hokkaido Scallops and Inaniwa Noodles with Lime, Butter and Minced Garlic, just to name a few.  All these are available throughout July.

It’s Time for Eel at Nadaman

Throughout July, Nadaman’s new chef – Chef Tsuji – spoils diners with unagi, a Japanese eel which is popular in the Kochi Prefecture during summer.  It is rich in vitamins and proteins, which contribute to the body’s health and rejuvenation during the hot season.  Diners can have a taste of this mouth-watering sensation. Menu highlights include Grilled Kochi Prefecture Japanese Eel with Sake or Sweetened Wine Sauce; Simmered Kochi Prefecture Japanese Eel with Burdock, Leek and Egg Sauce in Yanagikawa Style; Deep-Fried Smoked Japanese Eel with Japanese Sansho Pepper; Grilled Kochi Prefecture Japanese Eel and Sliced Cucumber with Vinegar Sauce; Nagoya-Style Grilled Japanese Eel Rice in Stone Bowl and much more.

Tuna-mania at Angelini

Diners will fall in love with the succulent flavour of tuna, which is widely known as a “super food” for its association with a host of health benefits.  There is a selection of tuna delights featuring a hint of summer through the use of fresh lime, avocado and lemon.

Guests can try out the innovative seafood selection, which includes Ginger Lime Tuna Tartare with Burrata Cheese and Coconut; Tuna Carpaccio, Marinated Avocado, Tuna Sauce, Purple Potato Chips; Paccheri Pasta with Raw Tuna, Italian Lemon, Fennel, Dry Fish Roe, Wild Fennel Baby Beetroot; Pan-Fried Tuna with Pistachio Mayo, Smoked Provola Cheese Sauce and Eggplant Caviar; and Amalfi’s Lemon Sorbet with Prosecco Wine. This menu is available between 12 July and 9 August 2017.

International Seafood Treats at Café Kool

Café Kool brings fresh seafood delicacies from around the world to the dinner buffet tables from 3 to 31 July 2017.

Diners will enjoy Hokkaido Scallop Sashimi, freshly shucked oyster from France, Thai-Style Deep-Fried Soft-Shell Crab, Gratinated US Lobster, Vietnamese Shrimp Rice Paper Rolls, Spanish Seafood Paella and many more international seafood flavours.

Mango Afternoon Tea Buffet with New Offerings at Lobby Lounge

The newly revamped afternoon tea buffet features a carving station, a colourful candy corner and 3.6 Hokkaido Milk Ice-Cream.

This July and August, guests will be spoiled with a wide variety of savouries and sweets made with mangoes, which are widely loved for their juiciness and divine sweetness. The mango-themed afternoon tea highlights include Shrimp and Mango Cocktail in Martini Glasses; Norwegian Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Mini Bagels; Japanese Mango Sago Pudding; and much more.  The afternoon tea set is priced at HK$338 per adult and HK$268 per child and available from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays only. These offerings are available from 1 July to 31 August 2017.

Summer Package at Tapas Bar

Guests can welcome the sizzling-hot season with an irresistible beer-and-tapas set.  Tapas fans should not miss Tapas Bar’s specially priced summer package.  A selection of Spanish snacks include Lamb Meat Sliders, Waffle Fries, Fried Rice Cake with Chorizo Sausage and Manchego Cheese as well as Nachos Chips with Prawn and Guacamole.

Citrus Aroma Cakes at Déli Kool

Executive Pastry Chef Wins Hung presents a taste of summer with a refreshing Citrus Aroma cake. Featuring a lime bread sponge, orange crème brûlée and pink grapefruit mousse, this new creation is priced at only HK$300.
